Shield 001 is our lathering shave cream: a dense, cushioning lather built for a single sharp blade. It's unscented and made with a short list of ingredients you can actually read. Just a barber-grade lather in a tube designed to look as good on your counter as it performs on your face.

Ingredients

A soap base made with coconut and shea, plus glycerin, aloe and allantoin.

Made without parabens, SLS, mineral oil or synthetic dyes.

How to use

Wet your face with warm water.
Squeeze an almond-sized amount onto a damp brush or your palm.
Work it into a thick lather, then apply in circular motions.
Shave with the grain using light, short strokes. Re-lather for a second pass if you like.
Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

No. Hold it at about 30 degrees, use no pressure and let the weight do the work. Most guys have it down within a few shaves.

Will I cut myself?

Take your first few shaves slow and keep the angle shallow. Don't press. The weight of the handle does the work for you.

Any standard double-edge blade, from any brand. You're never locked in to ours.

How often do I change the blade?

Every 4 to 7 shaves, depending on your beard. Swap it as soon as it starts to pull.
